Hey New York, Our Latest Project is For You!
We’re excited to be able to share the latest Wander project, a campaign piece called “NY Efficiency” we produced with Purpose for the UJA-Federation of New York.

Time For Good
The campaign, titled “Time for Good,” speaks to New Yorkers and Jews everywhere, making known how easy it is to get involved with UJA and the causes you care about. We were also lucky enough to work with the multi-talented — and veritable New Yorker, Harvey Fierstein; who will serve as the official voice of the campaign. “NY Efficiency” will consist of three films; a :60 film for the web, a :30 film for television, and a :15 film for social media.
Celebrating UJA-Federation of New York’s Centennial
For 100 years, the UJA-Federation of New York has stood by their mission to “care for people in need, inspire a passion for Jewish life and learning, and strengthen Jewish communities in New York, in Israel, and around the world.” In our film, we tried to bring that steadfastness to life, with a dash of New York sensibility.
New Yorkers Have a Way of Getting Things Done
“NY Efficiency” begins with quick cuts of New York life, which, combined with Fierstein’s delivery provide a humorous depiction of what New Yorker’s value — namely, effectiveness and transparency — and how UJA’s mission aligns with those same values.
The film then transitions to scenes of UJA in action: setting up clothing drives, soup kitchens, and supporting children and those with special needs. UJA wanted to highlight how much of what they are able to accomplish depends on the support of the New York and Jewish communities. Harvey Fierstein probably says it best in the film:
“70 countries, millions of lives changed, and it starts with you. Your dollars, your time, your city, your world. C’mon, be a mensch!”
