CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR COMPANY?
A full-service design studio and creative collective in Hollywood with a focus on projects for the do-gooders of the world.

WHAT’S YOUR JOB TITLE?
Executive Producer

WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL?
Everything from running the day to day of a small business to line producing our shoots to getting my hands dirty and editing, working on graphics, whatever needs to happen to make our projects the best they can be.

WHAT WOULD SURPRISE PEOPLE THE MOST ABOUT WHAT FALLS UNDER THAT TITLE?
That I am doing a lot of the actual creation work myself. My job is a hybrid of strategy, concepts and creative execution.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE JOB?
The variety. One day I am updating a spreadsheet and the next day I am finding a trained goat.

WHAT’S YOUR LEAST FAVORITE?
Honestly, to complain seems really silly, especially when we often highlight the less fortunate or causes – it’s a reminder not to wallow in the trivial.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF THE DAY?
Early in the morning before the rest of LA has woken up.

IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE THIS JOB, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING INSTEAD?
I would be a chef.

HOW EARLY ON DID YOU KNOW THIS WOULD BE YOUR PATH?
It was a progression and balance of finding a creative outlet and also something that would support my desires to see the world and be culturally enriched on a regular basis.

I began drawing and painting very early on and then went to school for visual effects, only to find that I much preferred being out from behind the computer. Now I am doing just that.

CAN YOU NAME SOME RECENT PROJECTS YOU HAVE WORKED ON?
In addition to our most recent project Be David for Oxfam America, we did a project for the American Museum of Natural History and are in post production on a series for the American Heart Association.

We also recently completed a commercial for Reading Hospital, and a fun graphics-intensive project featuring Tony the Tiger — also for Oxfam.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF?
I am really proud of this current project for Oxfam America — Be David. It has been received really well and has sparked that desire to do something and to get audiences involved, which is exactly the intent.

I love working on socially conscious projects for organizations that make the world a better place.

NAME THREE PIECES OF TECHNOLOGY YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT.
My 13-inch MacBook Pro, my iPhone 5S and my juicer.

WHAT SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS DO YOU FOLLOW?

DO YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE YOU WORK?
Yes — this is a must to keep me motivated throughout the day. There is different music for different times of day and various activities.

I always have KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic streaming from 9am–12pm. Sometimes I go to NPR after that and other times I will switch over to Spotify and play anything from Explosions in the Sky to The Beatles. There is also constantly new music getting cycled in.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO DE-STRESS FROM IT ALL?
Travel. It is imperative for me to change the scenery often. It makes the time that I am working in the office extremely manageable.

Sometimes that can be a day trip to Malibu and other times it is a jaunt to the other side of the planet.
